Android Pie Beta testing for Nokia 6.1 Plus is complete

Android Pie beta 6.1 plus

Nokia Mobile appears to be done with the Beta testing of Android Pie update for Nokia 6.1 Plus. The Beta Labs website is no longer offering download of Pie beta for the device. Nokia updated the webpage with the following information for users of 6.1 Plus.

Thanks for your feedback on Android™ 9 Pie on the Nokia 6.1 Plus – we are now finishing off the final touches to the official market release, so we won’t be offering this beta build any more. Stay tuned for announcements of Android Pie coming to your device!

The beta labs release for the device was released on 9th of October. After testing it for over 15 days, the beta is now closed. With that happening, it is very likely that the release of stable Pie update will happen before the end of October.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus will be the 2nd Nokia smartphone to receive Android Pie. The Nokia 7 Plus has already received the Pie update, although some bugs remain. Hopefully, the update for Nokia 6.1 Plus will be more stable and will account all the feedback submitted during the beta labs experience.

For the users who are already using the Pie beta:

There is no need to downgrade the device to Oreo. Simply wait for an OTA which will come when the stable update is out.
