Nearly 3 months since the initial release, Nokia Mobile has pushed a new Android Q build to the Nokia 8.1. The build is based on the Android Q Beta 5 released by Google. The new release takes the existing Android Q users from the version 4.011 (beta 3) to version 4.070 (beta 5).

As for users who are currently on latest release of Android Pie, they need to wait while Nokia Mobile readies new build which takes the users from Android Pie to Android Q Beta 5.
You can head over to Nokia Developer website to download the new build and sideload onto your device. The update is currently not available over the air.
