Steve H.McFly who runs the famous twitter account OnLeaks, has leaked yet another Nokia smartphone. This one comes with a hole in the display for the front (selfie) camera. There are dual rear cameras at the back with familiar Zeiss branding. There’s a tiny opening for the earpiece at the top of the device. The rest of the device is all display, except the bottom where we see a small chin with the Nokia branding.
The front and back of the device follows a design language similar to what we have seen in other Nokia smartphones. The device seems to be made out of aluminum since there are antenna bands visible. The device features a headphone jack (which is a positive sign), a type-C charging connector and a fingerprint scanner at the back.
Steve (OnLeaks) was unable to provide an authentic name for the device, but it could be marketed as “Nokia 8.1 Plus”. The birth of a Nokia 8.1 Plus is unlikely at this time because the Nokia 8.1 was just launched back in December and yet to start it sales in most of the world markets. That said, we do not know when the device will get launched. This device could be the real sucessor to the Nokia 8 (2017), probably running on Snapdragon 845.
Highlights of the probable Nokia 8.1 Plus:
- 6.22-inches display with Full HD resolution
- Fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C connectivity
- Dual rear cameras with Zeiss optics
- Headphone jack
- Android Pie
