Nokia Mobile has started seeing a new maintenance update to the Nokia 2.3 on Android 10. The update versioned 2.260 is a full package weighing around 1.13 GB.
The change-log is usual with no detailed information about what fixes were introduced. The users at Nokia Community, however, are reporting that this update fixes the issue where notifications wouldn’t come when apps were in the background state. The system management service was force killing the applications resulting in them being unable to auto-start to show new notifications.
The Nokia 2.2 and the Nokia 3.1 Plus are also affected by the similar issue of missing notifications. The update for the Nokia 2.3 brings a ray of hope that HMD will sort out the issue on the remaining devices as well.
If you own a Nokia 2.3, then it might be the perfect time to do a manual check for updates. The update might not be available in all regions yet though.
