Nokia 5.1, which was announced at the Moscow launch event, is finally starting its official sales. Russia is the first market to see the device. It will go on sale starting 25th of July for a price of 13,990 Rubles. NokiaMob posted back in June that the device was on pre-orders, however the price was not disclosed.
Alexei Zenkov, the head of the HMD Global representative office in Russia and the CIS, said: “Many people start and end the day with a smartphone in their hands. How much time you spend with your smartphone, it should always remain reliable, beautiful and high-performance. Nokia 5 has become the most popular model of the line of smartphones Nokia, represented in Russia, and we believe that the updated version is waiting for no less success.“

Nokia 5.1 in Russia comes in 16GB + 2GB storage combination. There is no mention of the 32GB + 3GB variant. The phone runs of MediaTek’s MT6750N chipset. Russia is receiving the device in all the 3 colors announced at the time of launch – Tempered blue (Indigo), Black and Copper.
The phone will be available online and offline and also via the official Nokia online shop.
It is somewhat sad to see China already receiving the latest Nokia X5 which was just announced 2 days ago while the rest of the world still awaits for the announcements from the Moscow event made during the month of May. Can’t Nokia Mobile (HMD Global) ramp up its production facilities yet?
