Here’s some good news for the Nokia 7 plus users who participated in the Android P developer beta program, but later decided to downgrade to Oreo. Almost all of them were stuck on the April security patch with no further OTA updates. Now, Nokia Mobile has identified and fixed the issue, so, updates are now rolling out to all these devices.
The reason behind the issue could be the fact that Android P is a different release. So, Nokia Mobile automatically paused the normal release updates to all devices registered in the developer preview.
It’s all sorted out now and if you haven’t received an update, then it is a good idea to do a manual check already. You should receive the update directly to the July patch, instead of being required to move through May and June.
Note: Don’t forget to unregister your device from Android P preview by visiting Nokia developer website.
