Nokia 8 starts receiving May 2018 security patch

Nokia Mobile just pulled the triggers for a new update to the Nokia 8. The update bumps the Google security patch to May 2018. The Nokia 8 already runs on Android 8.1, but the Nokia Pro camera is still missing. Not sure what is taking HMD Global so long to push the Pro mode.

Update: HMD’s CPO Juho Sarvikas updated in a tweet that a major camera update for Nokia 8 is coming soon!

Anyways, the update is small at 77.6MB. The screenshot above is from a Nokia 8 TA-1004. You can have your Nokia 8 force check for updates by going to “Phone updates” section in the settings app.
