Nokia Mobile was testing the Android Pie on Nokia 7 Plus as part of the developer preview. After the success of the experiment and killing all bugs, the official rollout of Android Pie begins today. The trigger is pulled and Pie is coming to all the Nokia 7 Plus users out there. That makes the Nokia 7 Plus one of the first devices (across OEMs) to receive the stable Android Pie update.
The update is over 1.5GB (1471.3MB) in size and versioned 3.22C. It is recommended that you hook up to a WiFi connection before initiating the update. Since it is a major update, it will also take a good time to install.
Where’s my update? As always, the rollout will be a phased process to ensure seamless delivery to all users. So, if your device is not receiving any update yet, then there’s no need to panic and you should wait patiently for a couple of days.
We are doing a phased roll-out to ensure quality. We will start with open markets and operators will follow shortly due to required approval process. Also note that we will roll out first 10% of install base and then expand but dont worry, you wont have to wait long 😋🥧

If you lack patience, then you can download the update from here, put it to SD card and then install it from recovery.
What’s new? Apart from the under-the-hood changes, the Android Pie update brings the host of new features introduced in Android Pie (9.0). This includes:
- Do not disturb
- Adaptive battery
- Adaptive brightness
Developer preview users: Nokia Mobile has also confirmed that the users of Developer Preview will also receive the stable update. There’s no need to downgrade to Oreo to receive the official Pie.
